Part I - Three day course
Today Massage Therapy students and clients are looking into how massage can be used to address various dysfunctions. Kurashova Re-Education™ technique is based on a 100-year-old school of Russian Medical Massage , and is the only 100% physiological technique that is completely based on Medical Research . Students will be presented with information of HOW different type of touch works, and how it addresses functional and dysfunctional physiology . Each technique will be explained in-depth in its uses for treatment of dysfunction. This course will provide the student with the knowledge of advance physiology and anatomy .
Students will learn over 50 techniques in this 70% hands-on class . Our techniques are unique in both application and rationale . The strokes that the students will learn are easy on the hands and do not require the use of thumbs . Students will learn how to prevent injuries that are common in Massage Therapists, and will be able to prolong their career. Students are taught how to make their techniques light or deep by changing their hand and arm position. This 100% painless technique has been instrumental in improving practices of many therapists world wide as well as adding many years to their pain-free practice .
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to do the following:
1. Understand the physiological rationale of touch as described by Kurashova Re-Education™ Method .
2. Utilize that physiological rationale and advance physiology in creating treatments for over 30 dysfunctions.
3. Understand the mechanical stimulation of touch and it's effects on the normal and abnormal function of the body.
4. Have a complete understanding of 12 gliding techniques, 12 pressure-stretching techniques, 10 kneading techniques, and 18 vibratory techniques .
5. Be able to utilize the rationale as applied to treatments of various dysfunctions.
Part II – Three day course
Dysfunctions of the Upper extremities, Cervical, Thoracic spine, Headaches.
This three day course will change your life as a practitioner and the lives of your patients. The Kurashova Re-Education™ Treatment Protocols are based on advanced applied physiology and pathology . They take root in Russian Medical Massage that has been researched in former USSR clinics, Universities, and Medical Schools. These treatments have been designed by Zhenya Wine , who practiced as a physiotherapist in the former USSR prior to her immigration to the USA. Zhenya Wine is recognized as a foremost authority in the field Medical Massage, and has shared her treatment protocols through her Medical Massage column in Massage Magazine for 6 years.
Students will start this part of the certification program by learning palpation assessment skills . The student will be able to put a name to an abnormality in the tissue, as well as understand the physiological change in the anatomy they palpate.
These three days will consist of an in-depth study of neurological and musculo-sceletal dysfunctions of the upper body and pertinent Kurashova Re-Education™ treatment protocols for these conditions. In this workshop students will gain complete understanding of the pathological signs and symptoms of each dysfunction, as well as its prognosis and standard treatment.
Through this intensive hands-on training students will learn treatment protocols for such dysfunctions as a Frozen shoulder a Bursitis a Shoulder Tendon and Ligament Damage a Rotator Cuff injury a Cervical Whiplash a Headaches a Occipital Nerve Irritation a Trigeminal Neuralgia a Tennis and Golfers Elbow a Ulnar Neuritis a Cervical and Thoracic Scoliosis a Carpal Tunnel Syndrome a Arthritis a And Others
95% HANDS-ON CLASS! Part I is a prerequisite for this seminar . Several new techniques are added in this class.
Part III – Three day course
Dysfunctions of the Lower extremities, Lower Thoracic and Lumbar spine.
This third level of Kurashova Re-Education™ Certification Program will consist of an in-depth study of neurological and musculo-sceletal dysfunctions of the lower extremities, the lower thoracic, and lumbar regions of the spine and pertinent Kurashova Re-Education™ treatment protocols for these conditions. In this workshop students will gain complete understanding of the pathological signs and symptoms of each dysfunction, as well as its prognosis and standard treatment.
Through this intensive hands-on training students will learn treatment protocols for such dysfunctions as a Plantar Faciatis a Heel Spurs a Achilles Tendinitis and Achilles tear a Shin Splints a Post-Surgical knees and other knee injuries a Fractures a Strains of the lower extremity muscles a Sciatic Radiculitis a Herniated Disc a Hip Strains/Sprains a Lower Back Strain a FIBROMYALGIA
Students will learn how to treat these conditions in acute and chronic stages (when appropriate), and how to adjust their treatment as the patient progresses in the treatment and the levels of pain. All of our treatment protocols are goal driven , and goals and objectives are provided for each protocol. 95% HANDS-ON CLASS . Part I is a prerequisite.
This program is 72 contact hours. By completing all three seminars, conducting (recording) two satisfactory case studies within 6 month (in their practice), and by passing a take-home exam (70% or better passing grade) the students will receive certification of the KURASHOVA RE-EDUCATION™ PRACTITIONER. |
